Abstract

This article examines the prospects for developing international academic
cooperation and transforming tourism education at Bukhara State University in accordance with
contemporary requirements. It analyzes the opportunities for integrating advanced experience
gained through the “International Trainer Training” programme organized in Salzburg, Austria,
into the university’s educational and research activities. Particular attention is paid to integrating
international experience into the content of tourism education, developing students’ digital and
practical competencies, strengthening education–science–business cooperation, and expanding joint research initiatives and international educational programmes. The article substantiates that
these approaches can contribute to the transformation of Bukhara State University from an
institution primarily adopting international experience into an international academic center that
generates innovative knowledge and solutions in the fields of tourism education and scientific
research
